Speaks to Cadets as part of the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership Speaker Series

WASHINGTOND.C., October 10, 2024 – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) visited Marion Military Institute (MMI), the oldest of four military junior colleges in the U.S. and part of the Alabama Community College System.

MMI established the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership to advance leadership education, training, and character development within MMI’s Corps of Cadets for further development at four-year universities, U.S. service academies, and/or military and civilian careers. Through the Distinguished Speaker Series, cadets have the opportunity to listen and learn from leaders from the military, business, and the public sector as they speak on a variety of subjects.

During her visit in Perry County, Senator Britt met with MMI leadership including the President, Col. David J. Mollahan, U.S. Marine Corps (ret.), and Director of the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership, Col. Ryan Link U.S. Air Force (ret.), in addition to delivering remarks to MMI cadets.

“It was an honor to speak to the outstanding men and women attending Marion Military Institute,” said Senator Britt. “The Anthony J. Rane Center at MMI is the kind of program that forms leaders, molds character, and prepares young people to make a positive impact on our country. I’m grateful for the commitment to service exhibited by these cadets and the leadership at MMI—America’s future is brighter because of these dedicated Alabamians.”
