ICYMI: U.S. Senator Katie Britt – President Clinton Accidentally Admits Biden-Harris Responsible for Murder of Laken Riley, Countless Innocent Americans
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 17, 2024 – In a recently published FOX News article, U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) criticized former President Bill Clinton for his remarks in Columbus, Georgia, this week. During the event, President Clinton remarked on the tragic murder of Laken Riley saying, “a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant. . . if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened.”
Laken Riley’s alleged killer is a Venezuelan national who crossed the U.S. southern border illegally in September 2022 and was paroled and released into our country by the Biden-Harris Administration.
Senator Britt reacted to President Clinton’s remarks, saying, “What President Clinton refused to admit is that this is a conscious choice the Biden-Harris Administration has made. No one is forcing them to parole hundreds of thousands of poorly vetted individuals into communities across our country, and they could end their dangerous, unprecedented abuse of immigration parole today if they wanted to.”
The Senator continued, “Laken Riley would be alive today if the Biden-Harris Administration had stronger border security and interior immigration enforcement policies in place. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have willfully, recklessly, and unlawfully allowed poorly vetted individuals, including Laken Riley’s accused murderer, to unleash havoc on American families nationwide.”

Earlier this year, Senators Britt and Ted Budd (R-N.C.) introduced the bipartisan Laken Riley Act, the Senate companion to H.R. 7511, Representative Mike Collins’ (R-Ga.) legislation that passed the House in an overwhelming bipartisan vote of 251-170.
The Laken Riley Act would require U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to arrest illegal aliens who commit theft, burglary, larceny, or shoplifting offenses and would mandate that these aliens are detained until they are removed from the United States so they cannot reoffend and commit further crimes.
Additionally, this legislation would ensure that States have standing to bring civil actions against federal officials who refuse to enforce immigration law or who violate the law. Senate Democrats have twice now blocked passage of this commonsense legislation.
