Votes to confirm head of DOJ Antitrust Division

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Judiciary’s Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights Subcommittee, today voted to confirm Gail Slater to serve as President Trump’s Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division. The nomination was confirmed by a vote of 78-19.

“I was proud to vote to confirm Assistant AG Slater today. I am confident she will work diligently to ensure continued market competitiveness as our economy evolves. Recently, Senator Britt participated in a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the nomination of SlaterIn response to Senator Britt’s questioning, Slater discussed how the Antitrust Division plays an important role in ensuring that small businesses and entrepreneurs can thrive and compete in today’s economy.
