U.S. Senator Katie Britt Issues Statement Following Iran’s Recent Ballistic Missile Attack on Israel

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 2, 2024 – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) issued the following statement following Iran launching nearly 200 ballistic missiles into Israel:

“I’m proud to stand with Israel and the Jewish people. Israel has more than a right to defend herself, she has an obligation. Make no mistake – the Biden-Harris Administration’s dithering doctrine of ‘don’t’ has put Americans and our allies in jeopardy and ultimately made the world less safe. This Administration foolishly relaxed sanctions enforcement against Iran, allowing the regime in Tehran to profit to the tune of tens of billions of dollars in oil revenue. We know that when Iran has more money, they have more money to finance terrorism and sow chaos in the Middle East. That’s exactly what we are seeing today. Peace comes through strength and appeasement invites aggression. The United States told Iran there would consequences to pay if they attacked Israel, and now is the time to keep our word in order to reestablish credible American deterrence.”
