Votes to confirm President Trump’s SBA Administrator
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today voted in favor of Kelly Loeffler to serve as President Trump’s Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA). The nomination was confirmed by a vote of 52-46.
“Kelly is a prolific job creator, entrepreneur, and a quintessential American success story. From growing up on a family farm to working her way up to the highest levels of business, she understands the struggles small businesses face because she’s lived them,” said Senator Britt. “Small businesses are the backbone of our nation’s economy, and Kelly will be a fierce advocate for cutting senseless red tape and unleashing American ingenuity. I have every confidence she will fight for Main Street America and expand opportunities for these local businesses and the families they support.”

Senator Britt had the honor of introducing Senator Kelly Loeffler at her nomination hearing before the Senate Committee on Small Business. During her remarks, Senator Britt said, “I have absolute confidence in Kelly’s ability to strengthen our Main Streets, to figure out how we get capital to underserved communities, to figure out how we roll back red tape and let people do what they do best, [as] job creators soar and achieve their American Dream. Helping our small businesses thrive like never before is what I am confident she will do.”
