U.S. Senator Katie Britt: Secretary Rollins Will Make Agriculture Great Again
Votes to confirm President Trump’s Secretary of Agriculture
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today voted in support of President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins. The Senate confirmed her nomination to serve as Secretary of Agriculture by a vote of 72-28.
“Secretary Rollins understands the critical role American agriculture plays in not just feeding, fueling, and clothing America but in protecting our national security,” said Senator Britt. “Under President Trump and Secretary Rollins, our farmers, foresters, and cattlemen will receive the support they need to continue providing so much to America—they will Make Agriculture Great Again! I’m looking forward to working with President Trump and Secretary Rollins as a partner to ensure our next Farm Bill is focused on our agriculture community and Alabama’s family farmers can continue to thrive for generations to come.”

Senator Britt met with Brooke Rollins in December to discuss her plans for the Department of Agriculture. After their meeting, Senator Britt said, “[Brooke Rollins] is a champion for putting Americans first and will fight for the hardworking men and women who feed and clothe our country. Together, we will work to strengthen our family farms for generations to come.”
